Corrections Policy
Noticed News is committed to accuracy in everything we publish. Despite our best efforts, mistakes can happen. When they do, we correct them promptly, transparently, and without exception.
How We Handle Corrections
Minor corrections (typos, grammatical errors, formatting issues) may be corrected without a formal note, as these do not affect the substance or accuracy of the story.
Substantive corrections (factual errors, incorrect names, wrong dates, misattributed quotes, or any error that affects the accuracy or meaning of a story) are handled as follows:
- The article is updated with the correct information as soon as we’re able to verify it
- A correction notice is added to the bottom of the article, stating what was changed and the date the correction was made
- We do not delete or hide the fact that a correction was made
Example correction notice format:
Correction: An earlier version of this article misidentified [X]. The article has been updated to reflect [correct information]. This correction was made on [date].
Retractions
In rare cases where a story is found to be substantially or entirely inaccurate, we will retract the article. A retraction notice will remain in place of the original content, explaining why the story was removed.
How to Report an Error
If you believe we’ve published something inaccurate, please email us at corrections@noticednews.com with:
- A link to the article
- The specific information you believe is incorrect
- Supporting information or sources, if available
Our editorial team reviews every correction request and will respond as quickly as possible. Verified corrections are typically made within [X business days] of being reported.
Accountability
Every article on Noticed News carries a byline identifying the writer responsible for it. Our masthead, with contact information for our editorial team, is publicly available on our About Us page.
